This short course introduces core ideas, methods, and practical workflows for infectious disease data analytics and mathematical modelling. It combines lectures, hands-on exercises, and group work to help participants move from surveillance data and transmission concepts to model fitting, interpretation, and policy-relevant communication. The course is intended for both epidemiologists who want to improve their ability to critically review models and for data scientists who wish to increase their proficiency in how to create robost models.
