Infectious Disease Dynamics: Data Analytics and Mathematical Modelling

This short course introduces core ideas, methods and practical workflows for infectious disease data analytics and mathematical modelling. It combines lectures, hands-on exercises and group work to help participants move from surveillance data and transmission concepts to model fitting, interpretation and policy-relevant communication.

The course is intended both for epidemiologists and health professionals who want to improve their ability to review models critically, and for data scientists who want to become more proficient in building infectious disease models. It also runs as a module of the Charité MSc in International Health (MScIH).
